Reversible electric propulsion system for boats

The aim of this project is to develop a new type of electric propulsion system for watercraft starting with a permanent magnet electric motor and replacing the rotor with a propeller.
The combination of an electric motor with a propeller simplifies the kinematic chain, thereby increasing the system's efficiency.
For applications aboard sailboats, this means being able to eliminate the mechanical connection between the engine and propulsion and also the internal combustion engine, developing entirely electric propulsion and power generation.
In this way, the boat can be considered to produce zero emissions.
